If you've ever gone down a rabbit hole about Bigfoot at 1am, wondered what the government actually knows about UAPs, or found yourself reading about the pyramids and thinking "wait, none of this adds up," you're exactly who this show is for.
Welcome to the IDK Talk Show. I'm Jesse, and I know almost nothing about any of this. That's kind of the whole point.
So What Is This Podcast, Actually?
In Episode 0, I laid out exactly what the IDK Talk Show is going to be, and why I decided to build it around a pretty unusual selling point: my own lack of expertise.
Here's the thing. There are already some incredible long-form podcasts covering this territory. Danny Jones, Julian Dory, Shawn Ryan, Blurry Creatures, Area 52, The Deep End with Taylor Welsh, the Joe Rogan Experience. If you listen to any of them, you know the format. Deep, hours-long conversations with genuinely qualified people. PhDs. Former government officials with high-level clearances. Researchers who have spent decades in these fields.
Those shows are great. They're also part of the reason I started this one.
Somewhere over the last few years, I noticed something strange. UAP disclosure, Bigfoot sightings, ancient archaeology mysteries, angels and demons, biblical prophecy. Topics that used to live in completely separate corners of the internet started converging into one big, weird conversation. Everyone seemed to be talking about the same underlying questions from different angles.
I don't have a PhD. I don't have clearance to anything. What I have is a genuine, lifelong fascination with this stuff that started, embarrassingly, with the movie Harry and the Hendersons. And I have a hunch that a lot of you are in the same boat. Curious, a little obsessed, and tired of feeling like you need a research background just to have an opinion on Bigfoot.
That's the gap the IDK Talk Show is built to fill. No fake expertise. No pretending to have answers I don't have. Just honest curiosity, out loud, about the topics that keep a lot of us up at night.
What You Can Expect Going Forward
The format is simple. Most episodes will be me picking a topic from a growing list, sitting down straight to camera, and just working through it. What I think I know, what I clearly don't, and the obvious questions nobody seems to be asking out loud.
I'm also lining up guest interviews down the road, sit-down conversations in the Shawn Ryan style, where it's a back-and-forth rather than a monologue. When those episodes are coming up, the community will get a heads up before I announce them publicly, so you can submit questions you want asked before I even sit down with the guest. This isn't meant to be a show where you passively watch. I want you in the room.
New episodes are going out every two weeks, so twice a month.
This Is Bigger Than a Podcast
Here's what I really want this to become: a place where people who are into this stuff, Bigfoot, UFOs, ancient mysteries, conspiracy theories, biblical prophecy, whatever your flavor of weird is, can actually talk to each other.
That's why the podcast is really just the front door. The real destination is the IDK Talk Show community, where you can create a free account, jump into discussion rooms, and connect with other people who don't think you're crazy for wondering about this stuff. No cost, no catch. Guests may even join in for Q&As after certain episodes.
